G'Day,

We use Swoopware in a networked environment where providing elevated access to the local machine to run Swoopware.TandemVids.Licensing is not possible. This causes Swoopware to prompt on every startup for an administrator account and password. Can you please provide a suggested fix to avoid the constant prompting.

* note the original install was performed by a domain admin.

Hi Brett,

The user is prompted to configure the license key for all users which requires elevation. If they don't or can't elevate the licensing application, they will be continually prompted on every start.

The problem is caused when an administrator successfully moves the key but the key for the standard user is not removed. The software sees the key and tries to move it again.

This will affect all standard users. I'll fix it and release a new version urgently.

Thanks for letting me know.

Mick

Hi Brett,

This has been fixed in TandemVids 2018.0.13.0.

If the license key has already been moved by an administrator, the user's personal key is removed. This does not require elevation.

If the license key has not been moved, the user can disable the continual prompting and use their personal key, same as previous versions.

Cheers. Mick.
